Maryjane Westra

Seven years ago, after parenting 75 children and foster children for thirty-two years, our last child was leaving the nest.  In an effort to avoid the dreaded empty nest syndrome, my husband and I decided to hit the road.  Well, not literally.  We sold the house, gave away the dog and left for Zimbabwe in Southern Africa.  It has been a ride.  This blog hopes to provide readers with offense and smiles, heart warmth and outrage, inspiration and anger, entertainment and bordom.   I hope you will follow me along and endure my travels and comments.
